DEADLINE: September 15, 2014
The Native American Studies Graduate Research Journal is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed publication that supports graduate student research related to Native American Studies. Like the NAS department at UC Davis, this journal practices a hemispheric approach that dialogues with global indigeneity and publishes research relevant to Indigenous peoples throughout the world. This journal was created to further the conversations that begun at the UC Davis Native American Studies Graduate Student Symposium. The journal contributes to graduate student professionalization by providing opportunities for emerging scholars to peer review manuscripts and publish research. The journal is especially interested in showcasing work that engages, challenges, and contributes to the developing field of Native American Studies. We are looking forward to an exciting and lasting conversation.
We invite you to be a part of our inaugural issue of the NASGRJ. For this issue we hope to receive submissions from those who have presented at the Native American Studies Graduate Student Symposium at UC Davis (2012, 2013, 2014). We are also accepting submissions from others as well.
NASGRJ is an open access journal. Creative and multi-media submissions are welcome.
