The submission deadline for the 2015 Psychology Outside the Box (POTB) Conference has beenextended to April 1st!
The 4th National POTB Conference will take place on May 14-15, 2015 at the University of Ottawa.
This student-run conference promotes interdisciplinary psychological research by encouraging dialogue between different paradigms in psychology, extending its reach to other scientific disciplines, making research in psychology more accessible to the general public, and cultivating and strengthening interest in psychology among high school and undergraduate students.
We invite you to come and share your research at the POTB Conference by submitting an abstract at www.potb.ca.
THIS YEAR’S HIGHLIGHTS:
Keynote speakers: This year’s conference will feature two keynote speakers! We are honoured to receive Dr. Kathleen Vohs, from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and Dr. David Pizarro, from Cornell University located in Ithaca, New York. Dr. Vohs’s research in social psychology examines different applications of this discipline in business and marketing, while Dr. Pizarro specializes in the effects of emotion on political and moral judgment.
NEW THIS YEAR Pimp My Research: Research Idea Incubator – Come out and discuss research ideas on the topic of your choice in a small group of peers!
NEW THIS YEAR Research Speed Networking: Speed dating reinvented for researchers. Meet peers and discuss your current research project – under 5 minutes!
Submit an abstract: Please send your abstracts for oral, group symposium and poster presentations in either English or French by March 15st, 2015 via the conference website: www.potb.ca. You can also submit a topic that you would like to bring to a research idea incubator session. We welcome submissions from undergraduate students, and encourage their attendance.
